January 5, 2026 - School Space Registration Opens

 

February 9, 2026 - School Space Registration will close (only one teacher co-ordinator from each school may register the space requirements for the school)

 

February 12, 2026 - Participant Identification Numbers (PINs) will be distributed to the teacher co-ordinator who registered the school

 

February 13, 2026 - PINs will be distributed by the teacher co-ordinator to the students of the school

 

February 13, 2026 - Student Registration Opens

 

March 13, 2026 - Student Registration Closes (all information including ethics forms, safety checklist and project summary must be submitted)

 

March 22, 2026 - Judging Registration Closes

 

March 22, 2026 - Volunteer Registration Closes

 

March 28, 2026 - Fair Day

 

March 29, 2026 - Award Ceremonies

 

May 23 - May 30, 2026 - Canada-Wide Science Fair in Edmonton, Alberta

The Windsor Regional Science, Technology, and Engineering Fair (WRSTEF) has been ocurring since 1963 and is a 100% volunteer-run charitable organization whose purpose is to plan and host the Windsor Regional Science, Technology, and Engineeering Fair each spring. The event is held either at the University of Windsor or St. Clair College, attracting approximately 300 projects from students in grades 4-12 from all schools in the region. In 2026, we will once again be hosting an in-person fair at the University of Windsor, Centre for Engineering Innovation (CEI).

 

The fair will be held on Saturday March 28 2026, with the Award Ceremonies occuring on Sunday March 29 2026, also at the University of Windsor, CEI. All projects must be registered, with ethics approval (if necessary), safety forms, and abstract by March 13, 2026. See the more detailed timeline in the important dates section.

 

The award ceremony will be taking place on Sunday March 29th in room 1100 of the University of Windsor, Centre for Engineering Innovation (CEI). The award ceremony for the novice students will occur at 12:00, and the ceremony for junior, intermediate, and senior students will take place at 3:00.
